HISTORY OF GKPD COLLEGE

G.K.P. D. College Karpoorigram, Samastipur, Bihar. Getting blessings from Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur the proposal to establish this college was initiated in the year 1982. But this did not get momentum at that time. Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur ceaselessly worked for the upliftment of down trodden and unprivileged classes. He was in favour of establishing academic institutions in order to give opportunities to young man and women of those classes. After his death, his great legacy was inherited by Shri Ram Nath Thakur Ex- Minister of Bihar at present Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) He took proper initiative and due to his great vision and enduring endeavor the process of development once again started.
